Adobe Reader XI ships with a new set of features that improve productivity, security, and deployment of the new program version. Most notable from an end user perspective are the following features:
  • Full support for Windows 8 and OS X Mountain Lion including “touch-mode” for touch-based devices.
  • Form filling, signing, saving and sending improved
  • Creating pdf or exporting pdf files to Word or Excel online.
  • Commenting features, including stamps, attachments, audio recordings.
  • Protected View providing an additional layer of defense by implementing a separate desktop for the UI.
  • Enhanced Protected Mode improved with data theft prevention capabilities.
Adobe Reader XI is already available at the official Adobe website, both as a web installer and offline installer, and through the Adobe Reader update checker available under Help > Check for Updates in the program itself.
If you want to deploy it on multiple PCs in a network, it is better to download the Adobe Reader 11 offline installer for Windows.
